Merry Christmas!

Good afternoon!
I am a day late with this post but I hope that you all had a very Merry Christmas!  I'm sure you have all been just as busy as me trying to get everything in order before the big day arrives.  This is the first year in MANY MANY years that I didn't send out Christmas cards.  This makes me really sad.  Each year I look forward to sending out cards.  I love to share what I create with my friends and family.  Especially at the holidays!

Since I was so busy getting ready for the holiday- I didn't really have a whole lot of extra time to spend in my craft room.  Now that the holidays are over I will be spending a ridiculous amount of time making lots of new things!  As you can see from the right side bar on my blog- I was one of several Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who were chosen to be a part of the Creative Crew over at www.splitcoaststampers.com.
I cannot wait to share all the wonderful creations with you and I hope that you too will play along with our monthly challenges.   I will share the challenges as soon as I know what they are!  I will also post the link to the gallery once it goes public.

Thanks for checking in and I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season!

Good Morning!
Today- I'm sharing a cute Holiday video from Stampin' Up!  The video was created by several very talented people at the home office.  I enjoyed watching it and thought you might too!

Hearts a Flutter

Today I have another sneak peek for you!  This card actually has several!  The stamp set is called Hearts a Flutter, there is a matching set of Framelits which I used to cut out the hearts (also called Hearts a Flutter), Pool Party Core'dinations Card Stock, More Amore Specialty DSP and the Honeycomb Embossing Folder.  The "Just Because" sentiment is from the Vintage Verses Sale-a-Bration catalog and so is the beautiful Pool Party Ribbon.   All of these fabulous new products will be available beginning January 3, 2013 (except the Sale-a-bration products which will be available starting on 1/22/13).

Please let me know if you would like a copy of the Spring Catalog and Sale-a-bration Catalog.  I will get them out to you!
Have a great day!

Here comes Santa Claus

Good Morning!
It's hard to believe that Christmas is only 13 days away.  I've been busy not only baking for the holidays but making Christmas cards and shopping.
My daughter is a tennis instructor at the YMCA here in Monroe.  She teaches kids of all ages.  Since this is the last week of lessons before the Christmas holiday I thought it would be fun to make her something that she could pass out to her students.  The idea for this treat box isn't new as I've seen it many many places online.  I decided to change things up a bit and here is how they turned out:
Aren't they adorable?  I filled each one with fruit snacks and candy canes.  Normally I would have filled them with chocolates but since there are several students at the YMCA that have peanut allergies I thought that it was best to stay away from chocolate.  I hope the kids like them!!!

Doilies!

Good Morning!
Today I'm sharing another sneak peek!  This cute little Christmas Tree is made from the new Stampin' Up! Paper Doilies.  The doilies will be available starting January 3, 2013.  They are the perfect addition to cards, scrapbook pages, or for other fun creative projects like my tree.

The star was created by making two 3D stars and then gluing them together.  It's hard to see in the picture but I put glue along the edges and then used the Champagne Stampin' Glass to hide the seams.  These little trees are so easy to make and make such cute decorations!

Oh, Hello!

Good Morning!
Holiday baking is complete!  Thankfully!  I don't want to bake another cookie until next year.  All together- my friends and I made close to 1000 cookies.  Not all of the same but of several different varieties!  They came out beautifully and are delicious (I had to sample each variety.  Don't want to be passing out yucky cookies!)
Now that baking is over I finally have time to play with all my new goodies from the 2013 Spring Catalog and the 2013 Sale-a-bration flyer.  The first card I'm going to share is a card created using a new stamp set called "Oh, Hello".  I LOVE it!  It's probably my favorite set in the new Spring Catalog.  I wasn't sure if I would like it at first but let me tell you- the possibilities are endless with this set.  My brain has tons of ideas flowing through it!
I paired the stamp set up with the Tea for Two DSP.   I love all the colors in the Tea for Two DSP.  They are so soft and pretty!  I used the new Ovals Collection Framelits to cut out the oval shapes.  I know it's hard to see in the picture but the rose was stamped onto the Very Vanilla Card Stock and then I stamped another rose and cut certain parts of it out to give it a 3D look.

Thanks for checking in today!  Be sure to visit again soon as I will have more Sneak Peek's all week long!

Holiday Baking

Good Morning!
I just wanted to drop by and let you all know that I probably won't be posting anything new until the weekend.  Every year I do holiday baking for my husband's company so I am extremely busy with that right now.  I am in the process of making Snow Globe cookies which look simple but are extremely time consuming to make and decorate.  (They are sour cream cut out cookies in the shape of a snow globe and decorated to look like a snow globe that has been shaken up) Tomorrow I am making Buckeyes, Peppermint Melt-away's, Chocolate Walnut fudge, and about 4 other varieties of cookies.
Here is a picture of the Snow Globe cookies I made last year.  Aren't they cute?

Have a great Thursday and I'll see you this weekend with some NEW ideas!

Cookie Party!

Good Morning!  I haven't posted in a few days.  Not because I wasn't crafting but because I was in the process of baking and packaging 175 mini chocolate chip cookie cups for a cookie party that I was invited to.  I love holiday baking and always make sure that my cookies look nice and pretty!

Once I had all the cookie cups baked, iced, and decorated- I put them into little Merry Christmas Kraft Boxes that I had made using Snow Festival DSP and Kraft Boxes.  I love the Snow Festival DSP because it's very colorful and not just the traditional red and green.  I think they came out cute!

The cookie party was a lot of fun and thankfully everyone liked my cookies/packaging.  I also won a prize!!!  I never win anything!  I was SO excited!  Now I have a new Holiday Baking cookbook!  Can't wait to use it!!!

Happy Sunday!

Floral Arrangement

Happy Thursday!!!
Several years ago I used to own my own dried floral business.  I would spend hours and hours at home creating floral arrangements to sell at local craft fairs and specialty shops.  Then for one reason or another I stopped.  Not really because I didn't enjoy what I was creating but mostly because there wasn't a huge market for dried floral arrangements anymore.  I never realized how much I missed it until the past few days.

While doing my typical daily blog surfing I came across a blog called Diaryoftwocraftygirls.blogspot.com
I usually blog surf for inspiration.  I normally find tons of ideas and am completely in awe of how people think of such magnificent things to create.  Then I go to my craft space and try to create something just as brilliant.  Well let's just say that doesn't happen very often and it certainly didn't happen yesterday.  But I did create another beautiful floral arrangement from a tutorial I purchased on the Diaryoftwocraftygirls.blogspot.com blog.  I didn't have all of the same tools that were used in this tutorial so I just substituted what I had on hand.

At first, I thought I was going to like the floral arrangement with the candy canes better.  But I think this one is my favorite so far!  I love the see through vase with paper curls!  Too much fun!
So now, I can still create floral arrangements but now only with paper!  Two of my favorite things to do all combined into one!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

WOW Wednesday!

Good Morning friends!
I hope everyone is having a fabulous week so far!  If not- just remember it's over in a few days!
The project I'm sharing with you today was made from a tutorial written by Leigha Rock.  I came across it while I was blog surfing on Monday.  I knew I just HAD to make one!  Pretty much everything is made from card stock.  It is very time consuming but well worth it!  I didn't take the time to line up the candy canes as I was in a hurry to finish.  The next one I make I will definitely make sure to line them up!

Don't you think it's beautiful?

I plan on making another variety today.  I will share the pictures of it as soon as I get it completed!  As I you can see- it is a lot of work but so worth it!
Happy Wednesday and have a great day!

Perfectly Preserved Treat Jar

Good Morning!
I hope everyone survived the madness of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday!  Did anyone get a fantastic deal on anything?  There sure seemed to be a ton of bargains out there!  I know I keep saying this but I can't believe that it's already the official start of the Holiday season.  Each year it seems to come sooner and sooner.  In no way am I prepared for this!  I don't even have my Christmas decorations out yet.  I feel so behind!

I have a little jar of cuteness to share with you today.  I didn't create the idea but I did alter it as I don't have the Large Oval Punch.  The original idea comes from Kay Kalthoff.  As you can see in my picture below- I used the smallest heart from the Hearts Collection Framelit Dies to cut out my viewing window.  I can't wait to make a bunch more of these for Valentine's Day.  They are super cute and way too easy to make!
I hope you enjoy!!!

For the birds...

Good Evening!
This post is WAY later than I had hoped.  Unfortunately I sat a a car dealership today for almost 5 hours.  It was probably the most boring thing I've ever done.  So needless to say- I didn't get any stampin' done today.
I do have a cute card to share!  I think I've mentioned before that when I saw the 2012-2013 Annual Catalog- I didn't really "notice" the For the Birds stamp set.  Not because it wasn't cute (because it is) but it just wasn't one of those sets that "jumped" out at me.  I bought it anyway (as I had seen a card that someone else had created and I immediately fell in love).   This is what I made:

Nothing too fancy but it's still cute!

Holiday Extravaganza!!!

Calling anyone who loves to create!

Good Afternoon!
I want to take the time and let you all know how much I appreciate YOU.  I am very thankful to have blog readers, people who come to my workshops/classes, people who order from my website, as well people who take advantage of the Stampin' Up! Opportunity.
I have had a few people ask me some questions about becoming a demonstrator.  What are the selling requirements?  How much is the starter kit?  What comes in the kit? I will answer those questions now.

I'd like to start off first by saying that the starter kit is $99 + tax.  Shipping is included.  YOU get to select any $125 worth of products that you would like.  There are no "set" items other than the business supplies that come with your kit.  If you want $125 worth of card stock- then you can choose that.  If you want 3 stamp sets, 2 ink pads, some ribbon and some card stock- as long as it equals $125 then that is perfect!  ANY combination of products valued at  no more than $125 is fine.  There are selling requirements ($300 every quarter) HOWEVER if for some reason you do not meet the $300 minimum- that is NO PROBLEM.  You would just deactivate and no longer be a demo.  There is NO pressure from anyone ever.  There is no catch.  It is what it is.  Currently, if you sign up as a new demonstrator between 11/1-12/16 you will also receive a complete color family of ink pads.  That's 10 ink pads completely FREE.  With the ink pad addition- the total value of your kit is approximately $175 in product.  Definitely a fantastic deal.  Especially with the Holidays right around the corner.  This is the perfect opportunity to sign up and get a lot of product for little money.  If you have any other questions or would like to discuss the opportunity further please don't hesitate to call me at (734) 497-8521 or email me at dani.dziama@gmail.com

I will do my best to help you in any way I can.  If you're placing a large order- this is definitely the deal for you!  Click the link on the right hand sidebar to join my team now!

Regionals

Good Morning!
This weekend I had the pleasure of attending the Stampin' Up! Regional in Lansing Michigan.  What an amazing day!  It was my very first Stampin' Up! event and I must say WOW!  I had so much fun!  I got to meet a LOT of other stampers, stamp some super cute make and takes, take pictures of the swap boards, get inspiration, swap cards, meet people from the home office, AND make a ton of new friends!  As I mentioned before- I was able to take a LOT of pictures!  Some I can share with you and some I cannot (due to Stampin' Up! compliance).  All in all it was a fantastic day!  (Even though I did get pulled over for speeding on the way to Lansing.  It's a LONG story but I didn't get a ticket!)
Here are some of the pictures I took of the Swap boards:

Can you find my card in the picture below?

If I met you at Regionals- could you please drop me an email? Just click the EMAIL ME button on the sidebar.  I'd like to stay in touch.  I lost my email sheet somewhere along the way!  Terri and Erin from Marysville, OH- THANKS for those wonderfully addicting cinnamon almonds!  Heather and Kristy- it was nice to meet you!  I hope you both had a safe trip back to Canada!
Thanks for checking in today!

Regionals!

Good Morning!
Today I am in Lansing for the Stampin' Up! Regional.  It is my very first Stampin' Up! function so I am VERY excited!  Unfortunately I had to go alone but that's ok.  I KNOW I'll meet lots of new friends!

A few days ago I shared my Christmas Card Swap that I made.  It was simple yet pretty.   I also made a card to share for the Stampin' Up card bin.  For this card- I wanted to do something that was different than any card I've ever made.  This is what I came up with:

What do you think?  I love it!  I'm sad to give it away!  I shall definitely have to make more!

I hope you have a great weekend and I'll be back with lots to share from Regionals!

Snowmen Tea Lights

OMG!!!  Aren't these absolutely adorable?  I made these using the mini tutorial from my fabulous upline Becky Roberts.  Here is a link to her tutorial:  http://inkingidaho.blogspot.com/2012/11/snowman-tea-lights.html

I can't believe how stinkin' cute they are!  The sweater trim is absolutely PERFECT for them!  In Becky's tutorial- she used the Large Oval Punch to make the brim of the hat.  I don't have the  Large Oval Punch so I just used the Extra Large Oval Punch and trimmed the sides of the brim down until they looked good.  So- if you don't have all the supplies she lists- you can always try to work with what you do have.

Thanks for checking in and have a wonderful Friday!

Doilies!

Good Morning!
Who says doilies are JUST for decorating plates?  Not me!  I used the Stampin' Up! Paper Doily Sizzlet Die to create these pretty little Christmas trees.  Wouldn't these be pretty sitting on the fireplace mantel?
I wanted to add a little something extra to these so I spritzed them with Champagne Glimmer Mist.  Unfortunately it doesn't show up in the picture but the trees really glisten.  For the tree trunk on the left- I wrapped the dowel with Linen Thread.  The tree trunk on the right- I used the Satin Stitched Ribbon in Gumball Green.
I'm still a little undecided if I should add a star or another embellishment to the top of the trees.  What do you think?

Swap cards for Regionals

Good Morning!
I've been busy the past few days creating swap cards for the Stampin' Up! Regional in Lansing this coming weekend.  I wasn't actually sure what card to create, so I went with one that was simple yet beautiful.  It was also pretty easy to make in mass quantity so that was a big help.  I actually shared the card a few days ago but here it is again:

Unfortunately the picture isn't that great but at least you can see what it looks like!  I hope everyone I'm swapping with at the Regional will like it!
Have a great day!

Good Morning!
I have been having issues with Blogger not wanting to post pictures.  It's definitely frustrating but at least today it seems to be working.  (knock on wood)  I wanted to share the Christmas Tree card with the deer a few days ago but couldn't get it to post.  So here it is:

It is cute but I think I like the one with the penguin best.

The card I have to share today was super easy to create.  It's very plain and simple but it's pretty at the same time.

I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Burrr!!!

WOW it sure is cold in Michigan today!  Gives me good reason to stay indoors and stamp all day!  Today I have a card CASE to share with you.  Unfortunately I can't remember where I originally saw it or who the original creator was.  That makes me sad!  I ALWAYS give credit when I CASE.  So- if this was  your original creation I thank you very much because I truly love it.  It's a beautiful card made from a stamp set that isn't even Christmas!

What do you think?

Card Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Gumball Green, Real Red, Whisper White
Stamp Set:  Daydream Medallions
Inks:  Gumball Green, Real Red
Embellishments:  Real Red Taffeta Ribbon

Thanks for checking in and have a great weekend!
****EDITED TO ADD ORIGINAL DESIGNER:  Thanks to Margaret Raburn for her original design!!!  I absolutely loved this card and had to make it once I saw it!  Thanks so much for sharing!!  *****

Thankful Thursday!

Good Morning!
I hope everyone survived Trick or Treating last night.  It's hard to believe that it's come and gone already this year.  I can't believe how quickly he holiday season is  approaching and I am no where near ready for it to be here!
Today is a crazy busy day for me.  I have to take my car to the shop to be serviced, take the kids to and from school, grocery shop and run a ton of other errands.  Hopefully I don't get stuck at the dealership all day!
The first project I have to share with you is the treats I made for Halloween.  I used the Fancy Favor Box Die and the Toxic Treats stamp set.  What a FUN set!  I filled them with lots of chocolate and my favorite- DOTS!
I hope my trick or treater's enjoyed them!

The next card I have to share is a Thanksgiving card that I made from the Wonderfall stamp set that is in the Holiday Catalog.  I'm not sure why I waited to long to buy this set but it has quickly become one of my favorites!  I love all the different leaves.  Very pretty!!!

Thanks for checking in and I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Happy Halloween!!!

Good Morning!

Happy Halloween!  Are you all ready for an evening filled with lots of trick or treating?  My kids are older so we no longer have kids to take around.  It's kinda sad actually.  Halloween has always been my favorite holiday.  I used to decorate the house all up with lots of spooky decorations and creepy sounds.  I'd stay home and pass out candy while my husband took the kids from house to house.  I love seeing all the costumes!  This year is the first year in a long time that we didn't decorate.  The weather here has been nasty and cold so I haven't felt much like being outside for hours making my house spooky.  Hopefully next year will be better!

Today I have a super cute card to share!  It's a CASE from page 181 in the 2012-2013 Annual Catalog.  I have to admit that it looks a little difficult to make but thanks to a tutorial from Linda Heller,  it's actually not!

Today was actually the very first time I used the "No Peeking" stamp set.  I think it's absolutely adorable!  I LOVE the little penguin.  Way too cute!!!
I'm gonna make another one later today but with the deer image from the No Peeking stamp set.  I will share a picture as soon as I get it complete!
Enjoy your day!!!

Card Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Baja Breeze, Always Artichoke, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Soft Suede
Stamp Set:  No Peeking
Ink/Markers:  Black Staz-On, Always Artichoke, Tangerine Tango, Summer Starfruit
Tools:  Paper Trimmer, Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Sticky Strip, Paper Snips, Glue Dots, 2 Way Glue Pen, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Bone Folder, Holiday Collection Framelits (Star), Big Shot

Good Morning everyone!
I hope you are all having a wonderful Monday!  My thoughts and prayers are with those of you who are on the East Coast dealing with Hurricane Sandy.  I hope everyone will be OK and that the damages won't be too severe.
On a side note I would like to remind everyone that for TODAY ONLY- Stampin' Up! is offering a 15% discount on all stamps in the Holiday Catalog and the Annual Catalog.  The only exceptions are:  Hostess Sets, Bundled Stamp Sets and Digital Stamp Brush Sets.  Please let me know if you have any questions!  I can be reached at (734) 497-8521 or via email at dani.dziama@gmail.com

Today I have a bow tutorial to share with you.  I didn't come up with the idea however I have tweaked the bow to my satisfaction.  My dimensions below are for 2 bows.  There is a large bow and a small bow.  I used the Candlelight Christmas Designer Series Paper for both bows.  These are SUPER easy to make and don't require a lot of time.  It actually took me less than 10  minutes per bow to make mine!

Large Bow and Small Bow:

For the Large Bow:  Cut your DSP to the dimensions listed below.

You will need to cut:
3 strips of DSP that are 3/4" x 12" long
3 strips of DSP that are 3/4" x 11" long
2 strips of DSP that are 3/4" x 10" long
1 strip of DSP that is 3/4" x 4 1/2" long

Make a loop out of the 3/4" x 4 1/2" strip.  Twist the remaining strips so that there is a loop at the top and one at the bottom.
Your strip will start like this:
Twist a loop at the top:

and one at the bottom:
Hot glue each loop where they meet in the middle to hold them together.  Repeat the above process for all of the 12, 11, and 10" strips.  When you are finished twisting- this is what you should have:

Start assembling your bow using the 12" loops first.  Lay out and hot glue so your loops like the picture below:

Next, add in the 11" loops in the same way you did with the first layer.  Be sure you adhere each loop with hot glue in the center where they meet.
Your bow should look like this now:

Add the 10" loops in the same manner as the above loops.
Third layer:
Put a small pool of hot glue on the bottom of the 4 1/2" loop.  Press the loop into the center of the bow.

Ta da:

Wasn't that easy?  The small bow is made exactly like the large bow but with different strip dimensions.  Those dimensions are listed below:

For the small bow- you will need:
3 strips of DSP that are 1/2" x 8" long
3 strips of DSP that are 1/2" x 7" long
2 strips of DSP that are 1/2" x 6" long
1 strip of DSP that is 1/2" x 2 1/2" long
To make this bow- simply follow the tutorial for the large bow.
These bows are very easy to create and make a beautiful addition to your gift packaging!
Thanks for checking in and I hope you've enjoyed the tutorial!
As always- please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have!

Mini Holiday Scrapbook

Good Morning!
Last week as I was trying to come up with cute little holiday ideas for the stamping/scrapbooking class I teach at the local YMCA.  Since my class time is limited to two hours, I needed to come up with something that would fit into that time frame.  I also needed an idea that would be easy for my students to follow and create as this particular class has ten kids ages 8-12 years old.

I came up with a mini scrapbook!  It's super cute and didn't actually require much stamping thanks to the Snow Festival DSP!  Hopefully my class will enjoy making it!

Here are the pictures:

Have a fabulous Thursday!
