Truly Grateful

Good Morning!
Can you believe it's Wednesday already?  It seems like the new week just started!  I'm so not ready for the weeks to be flying by this fast.  There's not much left of summer and I'm not ready for the fall quite yet.  Speaking of fall- I received my $250 shopping spree order for being one of the Top 20 Artisan  Design Team Finalists.  LOVE that I could pick out whatever products that I wanted!  One of the new stamp sets that I ordered is called Truly Grateful.  This is such a beautiful set for the fall season!  It pairs nicely with the brand new DSP Sweater Weather.  Unfortunately I don't have a card featuring Sweater Weather today but there's always tomorrow or sometime in the near future!
My card today is a CASE from the 2013 Seasonal Catalog.  I LOVE this card!  So pretty!  OH and did you notice that I also used Gorgeous Grunge again today?  I'm thinking I could use it on every card or scrapbook page that I make!

Card Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Whisper White, Pool Party
Stamps:  Gorgeous Grunge, Truly Grateful
Inks:  Chocolate Chip, Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango
Tools:  Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Witches Brew Washi Tape, SNAIL, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Carbs schmarbs. Eat the cake!

Good morning!
I'm still playing around with Gorgeous Grunge and Hello, Lovely.  Only today- I've added a new stamp set into the mix.  Yippee-skippee!  I love it!  Such fun and whimsical sentiments!
The card I created to share with you today is a note style card with a vellum envelope.  I promise tomorrow I will share something other than Gorgeous Grunge!  Actually- I am expecting 2 packages filled with brand new goodies from the upcoming Seasonal Catalog which goes live on August 1st.  So I pretty  much guarantee that tomorrow you will see some new stuff!
I'm so excited to get my new goodies!  I feel like a kid anxiously awaiting Christmas morning!

The picture above shows what the card looks like in the vellum envelope.  To make the vellum envelope- I cut a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of vellum and folded it in half.  I then zig zag stitched around the edges to seal the sides and the bottom.  I left the top open so I could slide the card in and out.

Nothing too fancy but super cute!  Thanks for stopping by!
Happy stampin'!

Mr. & Mrs.

Good Morning!
Did you have a wonderful weekend?  I sure did but I wish the weather was warmer!  It was only in the 60's this weekend and I felt like I was freezing!  On Friday night- my friends and family had a "Congratulations on your Top 20 win" party for me.  It was a lot of fun and very nice of them to do for me!  Not only did they bbq some of my favorite foods- but they bought me flowers, balloons and a card.  I felt very loved!

I have a very simple card to share with you today.  I apologize in advance for the wonky sewing line down the center.  It was really late last night when I was working on the card and the lighting wasn't very good.  I'm going to make another card just like this one later today (only without the wonky sewing).  I saw a card similar to this one on Pinterest and I loved it.  Unfortunately there was no name or blog that it was linked to so I'm not sure who the original creator is.  I didn't copy it exactly but it's close!
Thanks for checking in and have a wonderful Monday!

You make me happy!

Good morning!
I can't begin to tell you just how much I love Gorgeous Grunge and Hello, Lovely.  They are the perfect stampin' combination!  I must admit that I was a little unsure of these 2 sets when I first saw them in the new catalog.  After receiving the stamps at Convention- I am completely hooked!  I can't stop making cards with these sets!  I hope you're not sick of seeing them yet!  I've only just begun!
The sentiment on today's card is "you make me happy".  I love that the combination of different fonts and it adds the perfect touch to my card.  Do you have favorite stamp sets?  If so- what are they?  What about color combinations?  I love the look of Pool Party, Calypso Coral, and So Saffron together.  It's hard to see in the picture but this card also has some Wild Wasabi on it.  If you look closely at the upper left corner you just might see some!

Happy Sunday!

Take & Make

Hello!
Today I have another Make & Take to share with you.  I have a confession to make.  I actually didn't make my projects at convention.  I took them home instead.  This way- I could change it up if I wanted to!  Which is exactly what I did!  For this project- I used one of the awesome new Chevron paper bags and altered it a bit to change the shape.  Then I decorated it with the Tag a bag kit and added the I Dig You stamped image from the Tag it set.  I think it came out cute!

I also have a card to share with you today.  It's similar to the card that I shared from yesterday.  I changed the color scheme and the layout just a little bit.  This card is the perfect Thank You for my friend who just signed her daughter up for the My Paper Pumpkin monthly kit.  I know she will love it!
If you look closely- you'll see that I sewed all the arrow's onto the card.  Do you like to sew on your cards?  I'm fairly new at it so there's still plenty of room for improvement but I really love the added touch!  Sewing is a fun way to hold your embellishments/design in place!
Thanks for checking in today and I hope to see you here again tomorrow!  Enjoy your Friday!

Who doesn't love surprises?

Good Morning!
I'm so happy to be back from Convention!  I am finally rested and I have a lot to share with you!  The picture below is of all the fabulous products that I received at Convention.  If you look closely in the picture- you will notice that a few of the stamp sets and accessories aren't completely visible.  That is because they are NEW products and I'm not allowed to share those pictures with you just yet.  I will say though- that you will LOVE them!

At Convention we were introduced to a few brand new products as well as products from the upcoming Seasonal catalog.  For the brand new products- there will be an Envelope Punch Board, two new Thinlits card dies (used to create flip cards/swing cards (or whatever you like to call them) (Label Card Thinlits and Circle Card Thinlits), and a stamp carving kit called Undefined.  The two new Thinlits card dies become available on August 1st.  Both sets contain several Thinlits that you will use to create your cards.  These sets pair well with several stamp sets that are already available in the catalog.  Trust me- you DEFINITELY want to have these new Thinlits!

I also wanted to let you know that I was not selected as an Artisan Design Team Member.  I did however make the top 20 finalists and was absolutely thrilled to do so!  The other finalists are absolutely amazing and I am so happy I got to share this wonderful experience with them.  I am looking forward to seeing what the new team will create!

Convention Gifts #2

Good morning!
Only 3 more sleeps until I go to Convention!  As I shared yesterday- I have been busy making gifts for a variety of different people at Convention.  The gift I'm sharing today consists of a miniature berry basket (barely measures 3" x 3").  On the outside- I used Sticky Strip to adhere the fabulous In-Color Ruffle Stretch ribbon around the top of the basket.  For the inside- I used Baked Brown Sugar card stock to make some shredded paper.  I crinkled the shred up and put it in the basket.  The baskets have a hand sanitizer and some candy.  I think they are super cute!
The picture only shows a few of the baskets.  I made over 30 of them!  I hope everyone will enjoy receiving one!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Convention Gifts

Good morning!
Now that I've finished my swap cards for Convention I've moved on to Convention gifts.  These are just little gifts that I wanted to bring for my fellow Inking Everything Teammates, Artisan Design Team top 20 finalists and a few friends.  I'd like for my little gifts to be a surprise so I'm not saying exactly who these are for!  Tomorrow I will share the other Convention Gifts that I made for the group that's not receiving this one.
As you can see from the picture- these were super easy to create. The little bags are filled with candy and held closed with the Pool Party clothes pin.

Have a great Friday!

The clock is ticking!

Good morning!
The clock is ticking!  I can't believe that it's already almost time for Convention!  I have never been to Salt Lake City so I'm really looking forward to it!  It should be a lot of fun!  I will try my best to keep you updated while I'm away but I'm not sure exactly what I will have time for.
I created a birthday card to share today.  I have had the Papillon Potpourri set for a while now but have never used it until yesterday.  I think it came out cute!

Have a great Thursday!

Wacky Wednesday

Good Morning!
So I'm sure you noticed but for some reason Blogger decided not to publish my post from yesterday.  Actually- I can't figure out what happened to it either.  I typed the post before I went to bed and was having issues but I thought that I had them resolved!  I apologize for that!

So let's try this again.  I had a LOT of email comments in regards to the Mini Milk Bottle with the Vintage Tag.  Most people wanted to know where I found my mini bottles.  I'm not actually sure what to say here other than I didn't buy mine from a craft store or a store at all for that matter.  I happened to be having dinner at the Outback Steakhouse last week and saw that they were serving mini milkshakes with paper straws in these cute little bottles.  I couldn't resist the cuteness so I asked the manager if he could sell me a few and sure enough- he did.  BUT don't go rushing to your local Outback in hopes of buying them.  The manager told me that he was not supposed to sell them as they need them for their mini milkshakes.  He made an exception for me but they weren't cheap.
The other question I had was in regards to the lace that runs down the middle of the tag.  Once again- I apologize as that lace is actually retired now.  It is from the Artisan Embellishments Kit.  I am a 100% Stampin' Up! only paper crafter and that lace was perfect for the tag.    So I apologize for using retired product but I couldn't find another way around it using Stampin' Up! only products.

I was also asked to create a card that was similar to the tag from the Vintage Mini Milk Bottle and this is what I came up with.
Card Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Stamps:  Everything Eleanor, Loving Thoughts
Inks:  Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Tools:  Stampin' Trimmer, Bone Folder, Paper Snips, Big Shot, Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, Apothecary Framelits, SNAIL, Stampin' Dimensionals, Natural Cotton Trim Ribbon, Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon, Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon, Stampin' Spritzer w/water, Pearl Basic Jewels, Stamping Sponges, hot glue gun/hot glue sticks

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Mini Milk Bottles

Good morning!
Thanks for checking in today!  I have created a beautiful Convention gift to share with you!  It is an altered Mini Milk Bottle.  I decorated it with a vintage gift tag and put some paper shred inside.  The bottle itself will be filled with some little surprises.  I'm hoping that the person it is intended for will love it!  I'm not sure about you but I am completely addicted to mini milk bottles!  Not only are they the most adorable little items around but they are also super functional!  You can use them as gift packaging (as I am) or you could fill it with a drink and sip through a paper straw!  Any way you look at it- mini milk bottles are FUN!
Have a wonderful Monday!

A ruffled what?

Good morning!
Today is Sunday and that makes me happy!  Don't get me wrong- I love it when company comes to visit but I also love it when they leave!  It's been a crazy week here and I'm ready to get my home and my normal daily routine back on the usual schedule.  I have a LOT to do before Convention and I leave in just a little over a week!  Fortunately I did manage to complete one set of swap cards after everyone went to bed last night.  Having those completed is a huge deal.  I'm not much of a procrastinator so I like to get things done in advance.  I'm hoping to be completely done with swap cards/gifts by Wednesday.  I may be being too optimistic but with no interruptions from unexpected guests- it should be doable.
The card I created to share with you last night uses the Afternoon Picnic DSP.  I'm happy to have these wonderful patterns around again- the Tea For Two DSP that just retired was my favorite.  Having Afternoon Picnic allows me to still use my favorite patterns only in fresh new colors!  I hope you enjoy!
Card Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Basic Gray, Coastal Cabana, Very Vanilla
DSP:  Afternoon Picnic
Stamps:  Oh Hello
Inks:  Basic Gray, Coastal Cabana
Tools:  Stampin' Trimmer, Bone Folder, Paper Snips, Big Shot, Ovals Collection Framelits, SNAIL, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals, Pearl Basic Jewels, Coastal Cabana Ruffled Ribbon

Thanks much

Good morning!
I am so glad it's finally the weekend!  Even though it's a holiday week- this has been one of the longest weeks ever.  Or at least it feels like it!  Not only have I been busy with my swaps for convention but I've also been making some fun little gifts for my fellow teammates.  I must admit though that if I don't kick it into gear- I'm not gonna have enough swaps made for convention!

I made a quick card last night and I love how it came out.  Ink splatters are fun and look great!  I apologize in advance for the poor quality picture.  I have company visiting from out of state and since I was working late- I couldn't use a lot of light.
Card Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Pool Party, Whisper White
DSP:  Subtles DSP stack
Stamps:  Six Sided Sampler
Inks:  Early Espresso, Calypso Coral, Pool Party
Tools:  Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Calypso Coral Chevron Ribbon, Tea Lace Doilies, Hexagon Punch, Linen Thread, SNAIL, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Aqua Painter, 70% alcohol, Glue Dots

What are you going to do with those?

Good morning!
I hope everyone had a safe and fun 4th of July holiday!  I spent the day shopping with my mother in law.  After we got home- I started working on these adorable little mini berry baskets.  What am I going to do with these?  Any ideas?  Well you will have to check back after convention to see!
These little baskets measure approximately 3" x 3".  They are super tiny and oh so cute!  I will post the finished product in a little over 2 weeks!
Have a wonderful Friday!

Clean and Simple

Good morning!
Today I have a quick post.  My in-laws are coming in from out of town for the July 4th holiday and I have a ton of stuff to do.  The card I have to share today is a clean and simple card.  This particular card took less than 10 minutes to create.  I should have used a different background when I took the picture but I was in a hurry.  The white on white kinda looks washed out.  Sorry about that.  I made a little 2x2 envelope, tied it with some ribbon and put a little heart inside.
Card Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Whisper White, Soft Suede, Real Red
Stamps:  Seasonal Sayings
Inks:  Soft Suede, Real Red
Tools:  Stampin' Trimmer, Bone Folder, Simply Scored Scoring Plate, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, SNAIL, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals, Real Red Stitched Ribbon
